Losi, if you can't get to watch the video the steps are listed below. It should only take a few minutes to set up.
Go to FUNCTION LIST 1. Go to STICK POS SW menu 2. Go to SPS0 and Select "THRO" to use the throttle stick as the switch 3. SYM shoulkd be set to "OFF" 5. Go to "AREA" and select "HIGH" 6. Go to "POS" and set to "L96" or whatever value you want to start the timer. At this point you should be able to move the throttle stick and SPS0 at the top should go from "OFF" to "ON" to indicate the switch changing. Leave STICK POS SW menu and go to TIMER menu 1. Select TIMER1 (or 2 or 3, depending on which one you want) 2. Change the next setting from INH to DOWN or STOP depending on the timer you want 3. Set the time amount after DOWN 3. Set START and STOP to "SPS0" to use the switch you just set up. That should be it. |

It would be cool if Ben reads this.........
Dear Mr Fisher, In 2010 I acquired several used 3DHS planes with the intent to learn how to fly some 3D stuff. Fifty to sixty mishaps (with no real damage) later I realized that landing smoothly was important and focused on that task. Progress was very slow due to my schedule and this D@mn Texas wind, I finally felt I could get a plane back on the ground without ripping the gear out of it. Yesterday the stars were aligned and I finally had real FUN with my V1 Velox!!!!! Is this a great hobby or what???? I'm now looking forward the more flight time instead of dreading doing something stupid and having to fix more landing gear! I couldn't have made this trip without fantastic, strong planes from 3DHS and countless answers to my dumba$$ questions. Progress report to follow and only a few weeks away from having the b@lls to maiden the 51" Slick! Jeff |

On another note......
I studied my DX7 settings and found my elevator end points @ 90% and dual rates @ 50% and 80%. I had the recommended throws but the plane was always straight up or straight down!!! I removed the 3DHS long arms and used the long HS-65 arms. with this set-up I set the end points @ 140% and the dual rates @ 50% and 100%. The plane is MUCH easier to fly smooth. DUH! As Ben has said many times in here and elsewhere. "Use the long 3DHS arms if you NEED them for your TX." Resolution seems to be much more important than throw! There are a lot of newer people on here who could benefit greatly from this ooops of mine. Jeff |
