Endoplasma wire gauge?
Does anyone know the gauge of the wire used in the Endoplasma? I know it has 16 turns and is double wound but am unsure of the gauge of wire used.

Why would you need that info? If you're connecting the motor to the ESC, 14 gauge (good for 32A) would be more than enough.

since I normally run the endo's at 40 amps (or a touch higher) peak current, I don't use 14 guage wire. 13G is a bit difficult to find and 12 guage is avalable at the local hobby shop (Deans "wet noodle" variety), so I use the 12 guage. I've use 14 guage before, but both wire and connectors get hot, and the 12 guage doesn't.

Im rewinding an old Kyosho lemans480 motor for gearbox use. Ill go with two winds of .63mm and see how that goes.

Hi Foxy, Motocalc has a motor designer section. If you know the original diameter and turns of the Lemans480 you can trial different turns and diameters to suit your batteries, gearbox etc. Makes it easier!! You can download a trial version from http://www.capable.on.ca/escbec.htm
