At $249.95 to $399.95 I can see why there would d be interest in using the KK2 at one tenth of the price!

All I can say is night and day! Just finished flashing the board on my small quad and the response is really smooth with the default PI settings. I am using turnigy 30A esc and I will have to lower the I gain just a tad as I see some slow wobbling.

Self level is much better, just started to pitch foiward a bit but brought it back and it stayed there with very slight drifting.

You have to solder ESCs and they don't void warranty.
There is a plug for the buzzer ...

All what it was needed, it was to have a single plug (male, like the servo plug, but instead of 3 pins, just 1 pin), with eventually a cable with the female single pin plug with a wire already connected ... then everybody could easily and without any risk make a connector.

The cost of it ... only additional few cents in the production.

Best to do it manually

I see that HappySunday still did not check the source code of the Kapitain

The calibration ESC, (that in my opinion, it is needed), it is still there ... just you don't see it anymore in the setting menu, nor the text for the ESC calibration procedure is stored in the limited memory of the KK2.0

But if you press the two buttons at start up, you will get the ESC calibration again ... same as previous version

ps: I was looking for my error with saturated stuff .. that did crash my quad time ago ... and ... this does not exist anymore in the new firmware ... ... maybe it was a wrong idea in first place to reset the KK2.0 board in case of value outside the expected range ...

Good work RCJOSE, thank you - and Lazy Zero.

Is is absolutely necessary to disconnect the ESC's and RX inputs before flashing?

I didn't disconnect them and the upgrade worked flawlessly.
I did remove my props however as the upgrade resets the controller to factory defaults.

I have the original V1.0 source, but apart from the LCD initialisation values there is none of his code in OpenAero2

By the way, the text "Saturated", "Saturate" or even "Satur" does not appear anywhere in the old V1.0 source code either...

Don't be Lazy

Unplug all ... and use the limited USB power for Flash the KK2.0 ... once connected, you power with 5V from USB the full Quad, via the KK2.0 board ... so ... I guess you don't want to overload you little 500mA from your USB port ...

I didn't unplug anything, too lazy. The 5v from the usb is only put to M1 and the receiver, so no problem at all. M2-M8 are an own circuit.
