My MM 180
Hello all, since there are countless build threads on this airplane, I thought I would just share the final finishing touches with you. This is my first kit airplane, so be nice.
So here is my Cessna 180, in Georgia Forestry Livery. As an Ex A&P mech, our shop worked on the GA dept. of Forestry's Aircraft on a regular basis. I am an active tailwheel pilot (real ones ) and I have always liked the 180 serise aircraft. I am sad to say that the new batch of Forestry Aircraft in the GFC (Georgia Forestry Commish) are all 182's, good aircraft in their own, but never will it be a 180!!! It seems that for the most part, new pilots in te program are not tailwheel/High Performance checked out. So I decided to make a tribute model, showing the Forestrys' workhorse, now set to pasture.
Model as much scale detail into the aircraft without taking away from its function as a flying model.
Thanks to Martin for all the great Ideas along with the countless build threads that are available for viewing on this board.
