yeah, those China jets are the copies
of Russian Jets: the mig 21 and the Mig 29.
Very nice... put some serious power like
Wemotec or vasa fans with brushless and Lipos
on them to make it fly like jets

Yeah, GWS need to design more freedom jet using GWS EDFs.

For example, F-5, F-104, F-100, F-16, Mirage 2000, IDF, AT-3.

With brushed GWS EDFs, maybe twins are better starting point.

F-4 phantom will be hugely popular considering that it was being used by almost all non-communist country during the cold war. Many country still use F-4 today, like Germany, Japan, and Korea.

A-SAN, I like your models, nice work!

Is the one that looks like the F-16 crossed with a F-5 nose and french dassault looking intakes a model of the IDF, or something else?

looking for a picture of the IDF I found this web site in china with an incredible collection of aviation artwork to browse, awesome stuff!

http://www.afwing.com/art.htm

Anyway the IDF seems to have many of the same design elements and overall shape as your model, but yours looks like its definately not the IDF, and it would'nt make sense for the PLA to be flying IDF's anyway so whats is that plane, russian or chinese, or ?

I bet a lot of us didn't know this...

The first combat use of the Sidewinder was in 1958 with the air force of the Republic of China over Taiwan. During that period of time, the ROC was engaged in air battles with the People's Republic of China over the Taiwan Strait. The United States provided a few dozen Sidewinders to ROC forces, which used them to great effect against PRC MiG-15s, adding a new element to an air war which had formerly been fought only with guns. In one air battle on September 24, 1958, ROC Sabres succeeded in destroying ten MiGs and scoring two probables without loss to themselves. In one month of air battles over Quemoy and Matsu, ROC pilots destroyed no less than 29 MiGs and got eight probables, against a loss of two F-84Gs and no Sabres.
The Taiwan Strait battles inadvertently produced a new derivative of Sidewinder: shortly after that conflict the Soviet Union began the manufacture of the K-13/R-3S missile (NATO reporting name AA-2 'Atoll'), a reverse-engineered copy of the Sidewinder. It was reportedly made possible after a Taiwanese AIM-9B hit a Chinese MiG-15 without exploding, and served as a "university course" in missile design for Soviet engineers. The K-13 and its derivatives remained in production for nearly 30 years.
