Is this a rebrand I like the Kodo with camera.

It looks cool, but I wonder why they dont have a proof of flight video for it on the website. I checked Youtube and still couldnt find a video of this.

Not a rebrand… there is no other quad like this in any way.

It's not out yet… release date is Mid Oct, so I don't think we'll see any videos until closer to that time.

They did just release a video for the Dromida Ominus though.

I plan on reviewing both of these new Dromida quads.

The controller looks like an old Kodak camera mated with a game controller. Trying to get an idea of size and what it is comparable to. Bigger than protos, Maybe h107 size?

the video of the ominus makes it look pretty indestructible and I like the led colors being different. Not sure about the streamer wars but to each their own

Ominus is showing in stock now but a little pricey for banging into trees

It's 3.5 inches, diagonally, which I think is just a bit smaller than the Hubsan X4.

It's actually quite cheap, if you compare it to the LaTrax Alias, which it is obviously inspired by.

Looks like Nine Eagles Mola M24, or the other way round?

http://www.banggood.com/Nine-Eagles-...-p-945827.html

One difference: M24 is able to send "live" video footage to an Android or iOS device, i.e. FPV.

Hobbico owns both brands, so it's just marketing and rebranding to use the two different brand names.

I think you're referring to Heli-Max instead Nine Eagles. Nine Eagles is founded in Shanghai and is still there. It is not owned by any US companies.

Yup, I saw it now. I stopped looking after seeing Heli-Max and was also looking for the Nine Eagles logo instead of text. What I was trying to say is the Nine Eagles brand is owned by Nine Eagles, an independent company not owned by Hobbico. Maybe for the US, Hobbico owns the right to distribute Nine Eagles products.

I don't know the details, but Hobbico bought the company, or at least the brand name, and they usually rebrand the Nine Eagles products as Heli-Max, but this time they have gone with Dromida for some reason.

Hobbico Brands

Hobbico distributes over 400 brands of product and 60,000 items. Distribute does not equal ownership. Licensed to be the sole distributor for a geographic territory maybe.
