Don't forget one other factor which maybe won't be important to you: if you ever show these to people, especially those not in the hobby, it always has more 'wow' factor with the lights.

Cool and wow factor the leds are saved. I did amaze some smokers of da herb in a park a while back.

i have a jjrc h6c which is suppose to use the same parts as the hubsan x4. So I bought some hubsan x4 propellers and they were shorter than the stock jjrc h6c ones.
Can someone with a hubsan x4 tell me the length of their props?
What will be the effect of shorter props?
lighter so longer flight time? Slower?

Hubsan props 54 mm end to end. I would assume very marginally less lift due to being shorter but differences in pitch would play a bigger part I would suspect.

lighter so longer flight time? - I doubt it
Slower? - marginally?

thanks the new ones are 54mm the stock jjrc h6c are 58 mm
