Building a Cinestar - Need Motor and ESC advice...
Hello All,
Im about to pull the trigger on a cinestar 8 and have some questions on the motors, esc and making it into possibly an x8. 1. I am going with the wookong and am wondering if the mk3638 motors can work with turnigy 60a esc or are people using other ones? 2. I live at a pretty high altitude 7,000feet and was thinking I need a bit more power but would like to hear options on qc3328 and mk3638 or other motors. 3. Has anyone turned the cinestar 8 into a x8 and put 15x5 props on it? 4. Are there any power distro boards that have been tested and proven to work? I believe that's about it. I appreciate any advice. If you are concerned about high altitude lift, going X8 would not be optimal since you lose a bit of efficiency.

Forget the WKM if you are build a Cinestar8, I have built a large octo and can tell you from experience that the WKM is not up to the task.

In my experience YS-X6 works great on a large octa and 15" props. Hardly any tuning needed.
