Correx = Coroplast.

2mm is the best stuff to use if you can get your hands on it. Anything else is too heavy for this size airplane. 4mm is far too heavy.

Thanks extreme sports. I thought they looked the same. Corro is fun and easy to work with.

Well, I done it again.

It was a bit windy and gusty here in eastern New Mexico, today. Q-Tee just doesn't have the wind penetration. She bare crept along into the wind, was fast with the wind. Stuff happens.

Back to flying larger and faster stuff I'm afraid.

That's tough -- it was a really nice looking model. Looks to be re-buildable, though.

I got an old Q-TEE off some guy on Craigslist, he had an old COX .049 for sale for 20 bucks, and when I picked up the engine, he threw in the plane and told me I could have it to, it's kinda trashed, and I've had it a while but got inspired to fix it, so I figured I'd rebuild it. I can rehinge the rudder and elevator, and rebuild the fuselage.

it looks like I'm going to be scratch building an entire airplane except for the original wing

I got a bit more done tonight, the only parts I was able to salvage was the wing and landing gear wire from the old plane, I'll also be using the wheels I had on the first Q-TEE I built back in the early 80's that plane is long gone, but I did keep the wheels.
