This Arby's had them back in 2006, It's better then trying to covey your order to minimum wage flunky. Especially those that don't speak English.

It's only a matter of time, and the 'living wage' stupidity merely advances the schedule.

Expect to see efforts to penalize the use of such technology

Well ... Obama did lay part of the blame on unemployment on the ATM ... so I'm sure the Dems will attack this as well.

Yeah, and half the time the thing says, "See Attendant."

We've had those for many years now in grocery stores and hardware stores too. So no ... we're not behind the times ... Fast Food is just finally catching up to the times ... those that demand 15 dollars an hour for unskilled labor are the ones behind the times.

It works at Home Depot, where they have thousands of different products. (and I'm faster than the girl at the cash register)

I would assume it will work even better at McDonalds.

Not only does the potential $15 per hour job go out the window, the existing $10 per hour job goes out the window too.

Kudos to McDonalds.

(just another unintended consequence of "Hope and Change")

What has this got to do with ANYTHING political, except in your mind?

actually ... it sort of does ... the political hacks on the left are the ones pushing for and supporting a 15 dollar an hour rate for unskilled burger flippers ... well ... here's industry's response to 15 dollars an hour.

It's a certainty... and it will be a progressive legislator prosing a tax, at point of sale..... 100% for sure the penalization will occur.

It's precisely what the Framers knew, we must live within a limited form of government.

Again, only in an agenda-filled mind. Everything that can be profitably automated will be, and it has nothing to do with what the minimum wage is, except perhaps to determine the break-even point for the new technology.
