Ok waiting on an email from RTF quads on the pin order, I can't see close enough to trace it from the chip unfortunately. I did find the 5v and a ground (odd only 1 functioning ground where the diagrams I've seen have 4 grounds) with the digital volt meter and based the rest off what seems to be a standard order. Also deleted and re-loaded the avr driver. Tried again a few times this evening , all w/ the 9v attached, but still no good. I will solder when im sure of the pin order from rtf quads. but hesitate to solder to the esc again as I think I killed one in the process yesterday and don't want to kill off too much equipment just experimenting.

Anyone else messed with xrotor esc here? I looked through the tread but might have missed something.

I ordered a few HW xRotor 40A to try them with the T-Motor MN3508-580kv. After removing the shrink tube I noticed that these ESCs look pretty much like the HW Platinum Pro 30A OPTO. However, they are not identical, so I don't know if it's possible to flash the Platinum Pro FW. Maybe the pictures are of any use for the devs.

I have the 40A version of the xrotor escs and my timing issues are gone now. There is no need to flash these as they are very responsive out of the box (similar performance to simonk). I also had the hk blueseries 30a and these were very slow in response.

Ok going to give this one more shot. Got the response back form Paul At Whitespy and he referred me to the standard pinout that I still don't understand.

then when you look at the board,

the numbers don't line up, it is like the diagram is what the board is supposed to be plugged into.

Is anyone familiar with this board that can give me the correct pinouts. If so I will solder the connections again and try again.

Just tested ZTW Spider 60A opto simonk esc with default firmware vs BS N-FET V2014-06-18 simonk.

I don't understand why ZTW call default firmware simonk! It has ugly softstart and it is clearly more slower in response! It is very easy to see difference compared to newest simonk firmware!

I tested this esc (bs n-fet 2014/06/18) firmware earlier with 6s battery, T-motor U5 and 16x5.4 prop. I could not get any sync issues, even with very stressfull start/stop tests. Only problem is this combination builds heat to esc more than I would like and additional heat sink is preferred.
