Question
epoxy or gorilla glue?

dudes i need advice before i build my flyfly mirage. yes i know theres a thread however im pretty sure someone here knows what is needed to put this model together...

what i have on hand right now is

epoxy
gorilla glue
foam safe CA (i doubt i should use)

im open to suggestions.

Agreed, GG used sparingly. I also use a fine mist spray of water, and wipe any excess off that bubble out.

I've used a very fine line of GG on a stubborn canopy that wouldnt stay down. Solved that problem once and for all.

GG or equivalent is the cats meow for sheeting foam core wings.

Oh Yeah! Works great for that. I used Elmers ProBond to do some sheeting years back. Works the same GG. But you have to watch it until it quits foaming and keep wiping it off. Its tough to sand next to foam core without damaging the foam.

how do you get enough pressure to use gorilla glue? If the stuff isn't clamped really hard, you just get a brittle foam that's about as strong as popcorn.

This is true. I spaced clamps every 1/2" apart the full length of the glue joint. Fortunately for me, on that side of the window is the door. With the door open, I had plenty of room. The window frame I glued to was only 1/8" wide. RC-56 worked fine on the other side but it was 1/4" wide, more area to bite.
