Just ordered my Habu 2.

I missed out on the original Habu so I'm glad to be getting this one!

The one thing that kept me from not buying the original Habu was that it did not have the retract option. To me jets just do not look as nice passing by, especially at full throttle with the gear dangling down. Plus you get a little better top end due to the improved slip stream.
I will be buy the Habu 2 since it has the retract option.

The original habu can be hand launched and belly landed if you dont like the gear.

Part of the fun (at least to me) is the taking off and landing from the ground with gear.

I agree, that is more fun, I was just stating if the reason you didnt want to fly the original habu is because you didnt want the gear sticking down while flying, you could have flown it without gear.

seen the new habu in action today at seff. they took off on grass the front wheel had no problem with it. very sharp looking!!!

One sort of silly bit of fun I have 'discovered' is touch'n'go's with an edf. I first discovered this bit of silliness probably 6 years ago with the WattAge Mig1-15 (remember those?). I have bad shoulders and cannot hand launch it with enough authority to fly it away - it always bounced once (at least) before getting enough speed to fly on its own. Quite comical.

"Modern" EDF power system seem to have resolved that problem and now I can hand launch one even with my bad shoulders. Fortunately I fly off of grass fields and I do not bother with touch and go's when the grass is newly mown, but they can be done easily.

Another thing to note is that unless you are flying a close-coupled tail dragger, where motor torque can easily lead to ground looping or flipping over, take-offs are easy. They do look pretty, though.

The only difference in the 10-15 and 15-25 is the strut size. I plan on using 15-25 size myself. Matt from Parkzone said it shouldn't be a problem.

For those of you with Pheonix 4 simulators the Habu 2 is on there. Was just trying it out this morning, loving the flaps for landing. Short roll outs, comes in nice and slow. Hopefully the real deal is pretty close.

I hand launch my 1st gen Habu all the time. The new one is the exact same except for the flaps and retracts.

I'd say it'll be even easier, since you could dial in 10 degrees of flaps. Should be fun!

Thanks, I guess if I read a few posts up, would have found my answer.

Retracts and flap servos, check. Waiting on the Habu2 now.
