Foamster Flys

Here is my latest creation. I call it a Foamster. I took the wing from my Jetster and made a L-39 like fusalage out of foam, The tail feathers are left over from a long ago crashed plane. The battery is under the canopy. I took a picture with the kids digital camera I'll put in a better picture when the film gets developed.

Specs are

Midi Fan
Ultra 930-6
20 2000 cells
wing 430 sq inches
weight 6 lbs 1 oz

Flys ok. The tail needs to be a bit futher back for better control and weight distibution. I did not plan well enough for the wires and tail control linkage so there is a bit of stuff in the ducting. But hey its only a foam airplane anyway it it looks better than the old Jetster did.

Kevin,
It will ROG off of short grass , but it uses alot of the stuff. Unfortunatly the turff farm does not cut the grass in the winter so I have to use the road. When it lands in the thick grass its kinda like a carrier landing. The wheels touch and it comes to a screaching halt.
