I just have a preliminary simple decoding scheme in place so far. It is far from finished, but is a standard interrupt based procedure. On leading edge of pulse from receiver interrupt checks timer that is running. If it has been more than 5 ms since the last pulse then assumption is made that it is a new frame and channel count starts at 0. If between .9 and 2.1 ms then it is considered a valid signal and the value is placed in ram for further processing and channel count value incremented. Then the timer is reset and return from interrupt. This is only for testing so far as I want to add some glitch testing and then clean it up.

I program in assembly language. I will be happy to share code when I get a little further along. Working on other things right now so it will probably be about 2 weeks before I get back to it. Most of the code should be OK on the f300.

Dave,

Do you have any idea when the Inside Story article will be done? There a lot of info on this forum, but some of it is hard to follow, for me anyway.

Hello Don,

Best I make no promises at the moment, have a fair bit on my plate already, but I will get it done asap.

I think what may also be a good idea is an index at the begining of useful threads.

I will look at editing an index and more links to start of this thread, that should help.

Good idea Dave about the index.
I was thinking of starting a seperate thread for the JDM programmer till it is sorted out I'm thinking it could add
un-needed posts to the threads trying to get a PIC programmer
working which only has a tiny bit to do with the DIYIR and DIY LRFers.

Billy,

May not be same problem I had, but same symtoms.

My hardware settings are:

JDM programmer
Com 2 (programmer must be in selected port)
I/O delay 4
Windows API

When I first downloaded icprog hardware settings were not as above and I had to change them. This should not be the case.
These should set automaticaly I believe.

I'll put some more time into article and get it finished.

Stewart,

I'm cutting down 1.6mm pcb at the moment. Reasonably easy to do with pcb this small.
To save some time I split thickness about half way.
Then I go ply by ply.
I put point of knife in corner of board and seperate ply along short side two or three mm. Then put blade lengthwise under ply and with some pressure you should be able to slice ply off neatly.
Then a light sanding. PCB in picture is under 0.4mm or 0.015".

Dave

Any chance of getting a copy of SC article
