Runway Length

Hello,

Just wondering how long a runway would have to be for a Jet Airliner model (e.g. Boeing 737-400)?

Only asking because I'd like to get one, eventually, but I've been told that my local clubs' runway isn't long enough for a model of that size. (Obviously it would depend on scale I suppose...)

Rgds,

Tigg

No real way to answer that Q. You don't give a size, weight, or power option.

There's always a minimum takeoff/landing roll, then your pilotingskills adds up to ±2000ft. Also an airliner usually uses more then one engine which makes a flameout more likely, the engines sit long appart which makes the flameout more dangerous. So to make it comfortable the extra ±2000ft is good even for a top notch pilot.
