Rant
A Neutral Rating Counts as a Negative

This may be a glitch in the RCG Rating system but I had a discussion with a fellow RG'er and he was very upset that a neutral rating does count as a negative rating on your trader score

He showed his transactions and sure enough .... It is a Negative.....

So..... Since when is a neutral considered a negative...... There is a statistical significance to a neutral and that is a null value..... If its recognized as a negative then why assign a neutral rating and recognize it negative......

That might be a glitch, throw that question out in SSC for clarification.

Well,
I guess its all how you look at it,, the "%" is the % of positives vs. everything else left,, anything that's not a positive will reduce the number of positives in the equation,, right?

Your thought is if a guy has 1+ and 1 neutral they deserve a 100% positive score?? that ain't right either

I guess I thought the neutral didn't have any adverse affect.

Are we losing the ability to read and comprehend, now?

The TR's are to let us make an informed decision on whether to deal with a person.
Reading a TR, and seeing a 'neutral' leads me to believe the deal was average and the disgruntled person wanted more.-Nothing to worry about.

The actual Negative gets my attention, and the poster gets a PM from me, before trading ,to let him explain why.
I must be becoming complacent with 'system glitches' - oh dear.

Well, it obvious everyone wants a 100% positive,, me too,, but if someone left you a neutral,, then they had a "less than positive" experience..

In math,, 1 less than 100 is 99,,, just how it is.

Now if a seller has a less than 100% rating,, start reading up on why.

It goes against the laws of physics and the stability of the universe......a neutral counts as neutral.....not a negative.

There are statistcal parameters to follow.....the neutral stands alone its an unique category....... If its another way of tabulating a negative, then it negates its uniqueness and should be eliminated from the survey

Just why a neutral rating is negative, but it should not leave a 100% positive standing either.....

There is no such thing as fair either.....sigh...

If I received the item as planned, with no hiccups = Neutral.

If it came with a few extra cupcakes not asked for = Positive.
