15 days ago i piloted two powered version of Windrider Fox (owned by two R/C buddies) : They are really nice aerobatics gliders.
The settings was "as indicated by the manufacturer" :
Ailerons: + / - 15 mm
Elevator: + / - 10 mm (measured at the elevator's tip)
Rudder: + / - 20 mm

That glider is not nasty and can easily bear some additional weight if needed.

In my opinion, all the control throws setting indicated can be increased.
(Ailerons can handle +/- 45° - The rudder too )

Just a thing : That glider is a Fox so she needs to fly rather fast - at low speed, she sinks...

Great product from Windrider that should plebicit her more !

Just started my build. I am seeking wisdom of the many master builder here

1. What are the choices of wing and rudder servos? D47 may be too light and HS55 is too thick.

2. I want o keep this plane easy to travel. May I tape-in the tail section? Or at least tape-in the elevator ?

On my Fox... I used HS45 servos for ailerons, HS65 for elevator, and a 6 gram Corona servo for the rudder. I also extended the ailerons inboard by 7 inches.

The stab on mine is removable. I used a piece of aluminum tubing as a pin to retain the stab in its seating slot, seems to work fine so far.

Couple of pics ...
