F-111
Another favorite jet thats on my must have one day list-
There are a few F-111 options Iam aware of. The Jet-Tech kit by Franz Walti (who designed the big BVM Rafale) go here and click on jet models- http://www.jettech.ch/e-eingang.html And the Aussie F-111 project for turbines that a kit is currently being developed from.... Plus a set of F-111 plans available from Aussie R/C model magazine 'Airborne' their website is currently down temporarily though so I cannot give you the link at present. I will see what I can find out and post a link here soon for you. Cheers- |

Yes, it was the one on the cover. Really super job that guy did...he has passed away since. Scratched out scale landing gear, the whole shebang. AFAIK he did NOT publish plans...
He did one with twin DF with his own 6" tractor fans(if I remember correctly) and one with turbine. First I am hearing of this one. How big is it, do you remember? |

Plans
Heres the link to the Airborne Magazine and the F-111 plans....
http://www.airbornemagazine.com.au/index.html click on articles page and scroll down for the F111 plans. The 'Airborne' F111 plans are actually for a .46 prop version, I guess you could possibly convert this also to EDF etc. Theres quite a few interesting jet plans from Airborne, mostly semi-scle prop and PSS jets but many could be D/F converted I reckon.... Theres plans also for a sweet looking little DH Vampire an Me-163, Tornado, Strikemaster and F-18. I have a set of 'Airborne' plans for their 1/5 scale CA-15 so I can vouch for the quality and high detail shown on their plans, and good customer service even O/S shipping is no problem.

So far it has helped me with my 1/6 scale f-15C. If you have a cad program you can do alot of stuff with the links I just posted. |

Hi.
I was intrested how you got on re F111 plans. I have downloaded all the info from the links posted and have contacted a couple of other places re technical drawings of the F111. I am looking to build an F111 using twin jets so all the info I can get will be a great help, but it looks like I will have a lot of work to do with autocad. Peter. PRAMS. |
