55mm means that the plane isnt stock and has been upgraded and oversized. They do not sell a 55mm edf version of an f-16. JPower produces and sells a 50mm version of an f-16. Your friend probably upgraded his edf unit for more thrust. The problem is even with a greater than 1 to 1 thrust ratio(aka ballistic or hovering), your problem is the fact that scaled down, your plane is hypersonic. The best I have seen personally is low triple digits (maybe). With an f-16, in that scale, you will not hit 125. If you do,the plane will probably break up.
Now then, You have been here 3 posts, so here is some lingo. Asking a completely off topic question in a completely off topic thread is called hijacking. We don't like this. There is a micro edf forum. it is here http://www.rcgroups.com/micro-edf-je...r-systems-650/ .Ask this question there. |

Ok not sure why this thread died but just a bit of an update for the thread. I have a Meteor and got the maiden +1 flight out of it today. One of my close flying buddies has a Habu and we should be able to do a comparison flight or flights in the next week or so hopefully. He is out of town right now or it would have happened today.
Anyhow my views of the plane are this. It handles great has decent vertical and over all performance on 4S. Yes there is at least one person flying it on 5S that has posted in the other thread and I plan on picking up a 5S pack to try it for myself. The stock ESC can handle it on 5S so its all good there. Here is a little video from my maiden but not complete as the cam batts died mid flight. My Meteor is the $109 PnP version and am using a 4S 4000 30C pack. Please note the name on the vid for the plane is the name its been affectionately given and is in no way ment to rip off or hurt anyones feelings. Jason
