BD5's

Hi I got three BD5's I'm going to start on.
One SR Hobbies BD5 and two mini BD5's ones a MAD and the other a Slick craft.
And I was planning on using the two aileron servos and one for the elevator on all of them.
And was wondering what be a good servo for the two micro BD5's and for the SR BD5.

Also any building tips would be helpful.
Like the dihedral (hope I spelled that right) for the wing.

Buy the best servos you can afford applies across the board, IMO.

These seem to be a good candidate for the Micro BD

Good luck with your BD's!

I think BD-5s are cool but I have not built any (yet).

Not sure if these Corona DS-483MG are suitable for any of your BDs, but they are interesting little digital servos. Small and very thin, but high torque and just $10. The torque spec seems like it must be exaggerated, but still a decent little servo. Working well in my Zulu so far.

I use the corona servos, they have worked well. Like any servo, particularly the inexpensive ones, I cycle them for 20-30 minutes on a servo tester to make sure they do not experience early failure.

I usually wait until the build is almost done before choosing a battery. So I can pick one that will bring the CG close without much lead if possible. I'd rather fill the nose with milliamps than lead

Depending on where you fly LiPo may be discouraged due to possible fire hazard.
