Castle esc and Hacker A60-7xs problem and fix
I wanted to post this thread so that maybe I could save someone else wanting to pull there hair out!!
I recently purchased a Hacker A60-7xs and have had a time getting this motor to pull over half power with my Castle HV85 esc, but finally got it to function ok.
Long story short I had to revert back to version 3.27 FIRMWARE and change my MOTOR TIMING to LOW to get the motor to run above half power.
FYI--the newest current firmware claims to fix this problem. In my case it did NOT! I think that has been the case with others from what little info I could find.
---BEWARE I HAVE SEEN OTHERS POSTS THAT CLAIM THAT FLASHING THERE ESC WITH THE OLD FIRMWARE CAUSED THERE ESC TO BASICALLY LOCK UP AND BECOME UNUSABLE, MINE WORKED FINE NO PROBLEMS--------------THANKFULLY
The specs with those changes are as follows:
3DHS 71" Slick
Hacker A60-7xs/Castle HV85/Zippy 40c 8s/APC 19x10e
The plane flies nicely with these specs, hover and pullout are not a problem at all.
I will say I feel as though the motor still did not open up like I thought it might. It just didnt sound like it was gaining the RPM's it should.
If anyone knows any other information on this topic or has a better solution please let me know.
