What Flight Controllers are YOU using on your Hex/Octo?

Hi Guys,

I have poured through a heap of information regarding Hex's and Octo's, however I'm interested in actual Hex and Octo owners sharing with us what flight controler THEY USE. This isn't about which you think is best, what's coming up on the horizon, it's about what flight controller you actually have installed in your hex or octo right now.

Regards,

Joel

If my Y-6 counts as a hex.....
I have used two HoverFly Pro controller on my 2 Y-6

(I will be building a flat hex next week. Unsure if I will be using a HFpro or CC on it)

HFpro has great gimbal control (if that matters) and is Rick solid in wind.

I have not used the GPS board from HF so I cannot comment.

HF has super simple setup.....
I am reading through the WKM manual in prep for mine arriving (going on a Y-6) and it is 100x more complex.

CC is simple to setup (GUI is the best in the industry IMO)

Hex and Y6 is easy. Octo is harder.

KK
MultiWii
Open Pilot CC
Hoverfly Sport
Hoverfly Pro
DJI Naza

I install them, fly them and take them apart and make something else. My setups are changing all the time.

Hate to say it but my go to is still a quad.

I have to agree my fav is a Mikrokopter quad with a full FPV setup. Currently have 3 hex, one Wookong-m, one Mikrokopter, and one with a DJI Naza controller. Mine are always moving from one platform to another, the biggest hex, a Cinestar 6, gets swapped between WKM and Mk electronics, the Droidworx hex that currently has the Naza on it has been flown with MK, WKM, the Naza, and soon will have an XS-Y6 controller on it.

Flying the same old thing all the time gets boring after a while, the beauty of having a lot of different flight controllers and frames to put them on is being able to mix and match components and be flying something different without having to buy any new parts, or sometime with purchase of minimal new parts, depending on what it is I want to achieve.

I have used the following boards on hexas and quads and I show my score out of 10 on each:

XAircraft V1 - 2
XAircraft P - 3
Open Pilot CC - 6
Rabbit - 8

I am using a Rabbit now on my 650 Homebrew Hexa and 450 DanZ Quad. I must admit though, the quad is my favorite to fly.
