Nonetheless, based on your observation, with this replacement RX, we should be able to flip without using the button, and control the lights with the button. At power on, I think the lights would be off. But if you press on the right light switch, the lights could be toggle on/off. Now V929 owners would not have lights to begin with. But it's likely that they could easily add lights with this replacement board.

Whereas, if people like the button control flips, they should stick with the V949. But if they want button-free flips and button control lights, they could drop a V929 replacement Rx (which has the same Rev and everything) into their V949 and get that!

Thnx for confirming. So there are rev02 with 8 plugs, made for the v929.

It flips at rates higher than 60% without needing to hold the top right button. (Which we haven't been able to emulate with the T9x.)

That's correct Daryoon.
I was one of the first to get a V929 with LEDs (8 connectors) from Hong Kong that flips perfectly at 100% Tx.
The board was called Rev03 though.

Is there already something like an overview which different boards exist and what the respective opinion towards them is (including ALL the 4port and 8port boards)??

Right kosem. Your's is a unique board. I refer to it as the missing link.

It was a precursor to the Rev02 8plug board.

On the v929 track, we got:

Rev01 (2012-05-12)
Rev02 (2012-06-08)
Rev03 (2012-07-04) 8plug
>reboot revision number
Rev01 (2012-07-22) 8plug
Rev02 (2012-07-30) 8plug

On the v949 track, we got

Rev01 (supposely Aaron got this sample) 8plug
Rev02 (2012-07-30) 8plug

At the reboot, we got the introduction of the v949. Sharing the same RX board, but the firmware is slightly different for each quad.

Kosem, as Daryoon was saying, yours is one of a kind. Keep it a safe distance away from trees! Treasure it.

BTW, Reboot revision number is from FD02R to FD02R-1 before the Rev number.

I still trying to understand all the subtle differences between versions. It is mighty helpful when you talk about your board, give us the Rev number and or release dates, so we could follow what's going on, and understand why they behave differently. If you're in this thread, we assume that you're talking about your V929, because V949 has a whole different set of behavior. Thanks.

A sample of my three flights with the V929. First attempt the quad just wants to hover; any stick input has almost no effect. Next attempt it will fly pretty nice, if I land it for any reason, on the next attempt it will turn into uncontrollable beast with extreme FFF.

It's raining here for the past few days and the ground is perpetually wet. The moisture affected the gyros of my V939 and V949. Good thing I brought along some paper towels and fixed the annoying drift on the spot.

I am curious. Can anyone explain to me how moisture affects the gyro?

I think the moisture can get into contact with the gyro chip with exposed pins. The gyro is a chip on the belly side, as pointed out by another member (sorry forgot who). So my theory is that wet grass can get the chip wet and possibly cause a temporary short.

I had funky gyro issues when I first got my v929 and flew during early mornings, then I put a plastic bag over the rx and that issue hadn't re-appeared.

I read somewhere if you spray varnish on the board it will seal it from water. Being that varnish has been used for years for copper motor windings I believe it will have no effects whats so ever on the board. However, I have not tried it yet so I could be wrong. There are those who have used it somewhere on this forum though.

A while back on one of the Wltoys threads some one post the brake down of the V939 transmitter rates at each level.I cannot find this post.I wanted to use those setting in hopes to find a sweet spot for my 9116tx.With my the two RC cars,Wltoys and Nine Eagles helicopters my desk has to many Txs on it.

Not sure exactly what you mean but the stock TX uses 20% - 40% - 60% - 100%.

Thanks for the reply,the post had the value for throttle,elevator,aileron, and ruder.
Example is at 60% aileron was at 70 and the rudder at 80.My reasoning is set at 60% on the V939tx; the V929 was very controllable for me.I would like to plug those values in to the 9116tx.
Update:
I found good setting; I had EPA at 120%, and lowered it to 100%.
