Ok, you weather forecasters that have no clue..... Why dont we leave the weather forecast for the guy with the track record, who lives the closest, who flies there the most? Me. West at 11mph before 1pm, building to over 15mph by 4pm, perfect race conditions. Pilots meeting at 12, we race when conditions meet minimum requirements, 3 mps (mph), which wont be long. Charge your batteries, and be prepared for a fun day.

Settled.

Also, if you have a plane you want to maiden or tune, I will be there around 1 pm and can be of assistance if you so require.

Geeze I didn't say anything about canceling, sorry for the confusion as I was looking at it from a what start time.

The weather has been good for flying for the last couple of weeks Sunday should be more of the same.

Hey Sammy

IF you are looking at the Marine Exchange, if you see SSW or better, run don't walk as it was really nice.

If you look at 2 ish to 7 pm where it is flat lined, that is good, very good. Looking at the wind lines and there was a Big Boat race going around Catalina where I was watching tacking angles, the wind was near dead center tip of Catalina and say White point.

Playing with an aerial map and my protractor.. :-) Avalon being about due South, the tip is pretty close to SSW or 225 degs, the wind was about 20-25 deg higher than the tip, Call it 250 degs. That means at that direction MMX is reading 40-45 degs low.

There's no real way to forecast Fermin. I used to call people to ask if they were coming out, and they said "the weather station say's south at 2-4mph" I was standing on the the top getting pelted by small rocks. Or, the flags on Gaffey and the 110 would be sticking straight out, but dead calm at Fermin.

I've seen the direction good with white caps and very little lift. And no caps, but unbelievable lift......go figure.

It would seem for the most part, it's either bolwing or not.

I'm really hoping to get to come and at least hang out on Sunday.

Finished the ballasting matrix for the Acacia 2 yesterday (and managed to lose one of the damn slugs in the garage ). Just finished working one up for the Trinity - it's on the charger.

As Concreteman has stated the wind will build all afternoon with raceable conditions starting between 12:00 and 1:00. Pilots meeting at 12:00 be there on time with your planes ready to fly.

See you all tomorrow, Let's Race!
