I think the first steps are gathering those who would want to get involved in an effort. So aside from Wayne myself and probably Lev is anyone else interested ?

In the Soviet Union times the State organised and established so called the Pioneers Palaces in order to keep kids -young generation-away from troubles and give them better education
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pioneers_Palace.
I spent in this kind of house the best 5 years of my life from 1967 to 1972...
Your could learn how to build aircraft and ship models, build your first radio and etc.
The Soviet Government paid instructors the salary which was not so great but was OK.
Today in the Capitalism world everything connected to a $$$ and the governments don't care too much about future generation...
And more and more of young generation using real drugs to escape from reality...

Totally agree -

If we want a generation exposed to this kind of technology and fun we have to drive it ourselves.

Well, there was a contest on the NWSS schedule but, to-date, I've only received one inquiry regarding the contest (to which I responded that we'd probably morph that contest into a DLG contest).
