The HK Pitts is a nice flyer but considerably slower then the HB. The Pitts is more durable and extremely easy to land and the gear is much stronger. The Pitts is extremely easy to hover, the HB a bit harder. The Pitts does slow 3d very well (harriers, rollers, etc) but does not have nearly the thrust of the HB, so recovery needs more altitude. The HB is more tuned to doing the high energy stuff better like crankshafts and pop tops. Neither one tumbles very well for me. I prefer the HB because it is more exciting to fly and does everything fairly well. But the Pitts is more relaxing to fly and and you know if you crash it it will probably survive. I have not crashed the HB yet after 400 flights, but I am guessing it will not hold up as well. ....
