Why Brits is Best...

OK,

Something to have a bit of a smile about (don't take it serious, guys ) but like all good humour, it has truth embedded in it..

#7 Our music is superior
Not even. While many UK bands have superior music, there are so many bad UK bands, that it averages out to overall mediocrity.

That's true for US music as well, so be happy.

And yes, I take my music seriously. We all should.

Iron Maiden was British?

When I went to London in 75, it seemed like all the GOOD music from England was sent abroad. The pop music I heard on the radio was unlistenable. (??)

Funny stuff. I certainly agree with the British humor part, especially its self-deprecating nature. I have long found that very charming.

LOL
I have to concede: the metric system is better. (way better)

And the fact you started this thread does prove great humor and the ability to laugh at yourselves.

But: everyone knows tea is served in a tall glass with ice and a lemon slice.

Norm,

I have to agree that the metric system is superior to the old Imperial (British) system of measurement. As to the rest of it ... oh, wait, the tea thing, yes you do understand tea better than we do in the U.S. I'm surprised that your list didn't include beer comparisons or an inflammatory statement about soccer versus football.

Hmmm, I wonder if there is some sort of relationship to be found in the football/soccer and the Imperial/Metric situation. Is soccer a metric game and football Imperial? I sense some sort of dimensional sports conspiracy here.

Cheers,
Grog

I don't know why anyone would ruin a good cup of tea with milk, or lemon for that matter, is beyond me.
