Ahhh, yes those will be painted to match the rest of the plane. There is a list of small things I want to fix and upgrade anyway. But first want to make some more flight before investing much more time (and money possibly too).

Once I have 10+ flights in the logs, I will continue building on this one.

Good evening,

Another picture of my Citabria just because I am so pleased with it.

Painted the wheel covers
Finished the red stripes on the rudder
The name is now on the motor cover
Battery hatch added.

Very happy with it

Tried to fly loopings today, but that did not work out well. Plane turns to the left once I pull the nose up.

Discussed it with some experts and general opinion is that I need more "right thrust" from the engine. And indeed, the engine is mounted more a less straight. No slight angle to the right.

Going to fix that and re-try the loopings.

Greetings Matthijs

I took a look at the plans of my NIB Sig Citabria kit and there's no right thrust per plan. With a kit that has been around as long as this one, I would say you have a different issue. Pulling up or flying straight.. a thrust issue would reveal itself. As your sure both elevators are flexing the same amount under stress?

I found this ....
Issue: Plane tries to pull over as it attempts to climb, then climbs fairly straight?
Sol; Check to make sure wings are level to tail. Make these checks before proceeding any further.

With a design that requires no thurst offset... by adding right thrust.. when you apply power,, the model will want to veer right. Let us know what happens... .
