Imagine her wearing just the g-suit and not the flight suit. They would be like od garter and stockings or chaps even....

I would think from the looks of them it would be a protector of some sort to keep her legs from getting broken during an ejection. Now here come the comments on that one.

Those are "G" suits - they inflate by air pressure to keep the blood from pooling in the pilot's lower extremities under heavy g-force. Man, did you never watch TOPGUN?

I believe the box shapes are in fact cargo pockets - click on the link and scroll down to the bottom picture where the pilot an her RIO/NAV are posed together on the ladder, for a better look. You will also see seat belt fasteners sticking out from behind their calves...insert you own imagination here....
