Sweet Lee!! But damn 200 amps!!!!!!! With an exhaust on that it will just go up. I wonder what efflux will be then with a proper exhaust. It sounds sweet though at that rpm.

Wow... definitely the wrong Kv! I am only pulling 150A on 15S with the 650Kv setup, and generating 22 pounds of thrust!

Jim, I think my thrust scale must be giving low readings, because even when I duplicate the 12s tests, I`m about 1.5lbs lower than what you guys get.

We should be pretty close to the same rpm with the two setups according to my math, so the thrust should be very close too.

I`m set up so that I can do 10s. I`ll check it for you, but I need to wait until my neighbors are awake, LOL.

yeah, youyr rails should be centerline with the fan, the fan is wanting to push downward with the position of the rails the way they are, cause drag, hence lower thrust readings. you think the eflux would be higher than that too. do you read from just one spot, or move it around to find the best spot?

The efflux is MUCH higher, but he is reading it without a tail pipe

Great video! Your adapter sounded very smooth...even at 30k rpm.

I moved it around, but can only do short bursts with this esc. I have another Monster on the way, then I can get a little better readings on everything.
Also, I`m going to get a tailpipe on it that will fit the AS nacelle and get the efflux up. Will probably drop to 11s when I do that.

Thanks, yes I`m very happy with the results of my shade-tree adapter. It does run very smooth, but could even be a touch smoother by playing with the position of the rotor and spinner. Haven`t done that yet. I just bolted it on.

no wonder it was an 18 sec. video. Poor 30c battery's are melting. Wonder how many amps the 40-50c packs would kick out!

efficieny..huh... what's that?

Sounds cool though!
