Hey Guys

Well after watching Martin Tiger Moth build. I new I just had to have one of these little Walnut planes. So I order the P-6E Hawk. I plan on using the same setup as Martin Tiger Moth, two Pico BB servos, GWS pico 4 channel RX, IPS DD motor, and either a 3x2 or 3x3 prop, and a 2s1p 250 etec pack. The wingarea on this kit is 80 sq in.

Here is the lastest picture. I don't own a Digtal camera so this was taken at Martins house yesterday. The wings are covered since this picture was taken, and I will be working on the stab and fin today. I hope to have this ready to fly by the end of the week. Now we just need to get some good weather here or find a indoor site that we can test fly them in.

Nice Keep the pics coming. I have been wanting to do one of those for about a year now (so many projects). Are you going to do the snowy owl paint scheme?
I know that set up will fly it, but it will be fast. Have you thought about the gws lps b2c motor?

I forgot to weight the parts before I left Martins house last night. I will forsure will weigh everything before I install the gear for you. No I won't be doing the snow owl paint. It will be yellow solite wings, and olive green solite fuse. I have just finished Covering the stab and fin. I will try and get some more pics this weekend. But we will see if I can.

Here is a update on my progress with the Hawk.

I have mounted the motor. I mounted this the same way Martin did with his Tiger Moth. Motor glued in with Black rubber CA, and cowling held on by a magnet. I also figured out how to mount the battery. The pack I am using is a 2s1p Etec 250, which fits just prefect under a plastic panel just behind the cowling. I have made the brace mounts for the battery.

Ought to be a real nice plane. Have you been impressed with the quality of the Dumas kit? They seem to be a pretty quick build.
I really like your battery shelf.

Project looks great. Which kit is this? Is it the 30" series?

Its the Walnut series kit. Which is 17" wingspan.

Hey there

Got back working on the hawk today.

Well after spending a week banging my head against the work bench, trying to firgure out how to mount the struts without breaking them. Today I was able to over come that problem.

Here are a few pics of my progress.

First Pic. Using the wing templetes to glue in struts.

second pic is the wings struts mounted.

Here is the weight so far. The weight includes the motor. Since its glued in to the cowling.
