Tip : while falling great altitude I found that low throttle does help stabilize faster the quad rather than high rate throttle.
Can someone approx the height of the quad?
v929 (1 min 38 sec)

Help!
I fly my 929, 939 and 911 on a 9XR, and the 929 has suddenly decided to flick over backwards as soon as I start it up.
It does the same on the toy transmitter that came with it, so I gather it's not the 9XR.
The battery is in the right place, and everything appears attached correctly.

Did you change anything? That usually happens when someone replaces prop and accidentally got the wrong prop on the wrong arm. But if you haven't change a thing, then we'll have to figure out what the motors are doing. Could you share a video of how this is flicking over?

929?
Perhaps one of the first 4 plug ones?
Then the gyro chip probably has contact problems in a pin. Was the weak spot of it.
Gently resolder/reflow solves the problem. (bring it to a computer shop/friend that has a hot air station for best results.)
here you'll find the chip location:

DIY method:

Or get a new PCB if you are unable to do so.

But first check prop orientation like HeliPad said if you have changed them before.

It is a first batch one.
So go ahead for the gyro chip. It is worth it!
The V1 boards are the sportiest by far of all following ones (and out of stock everywhere)

I'm a complete moron!

It's my MQX that is acting up, and the 929 is fine.

Thanks for the suggestion - Chris

Good morning.
I use 3 cell balance charger leads for all of my batteries, but don't have a JST one for the 929.
Has anyone been able to find one, please?
I have looked on the auction sites, but no luck.
Cheers - Chris

Make one yourself, and you are free to choose the cell count that suits your need best.
I made a 5 cell balance harness:

For a 3cell harness you'll need:
http://www.banggood.com/Balance-Char...m-p-77374.html
http://www.banggood.com/Wholesale-10...y-p-50810.html
together 3,70 USDshipped.

The following scheme should give you an idea for wiring.

If you need instructions/help with the wiring, PM.

If you can't do - I could make one and send it, but i don't know about the Aussie customs regulations.

you could do like mike ( which is the more admirable way ) and build it yourself with the parts he mentions, ...

... or you do it like me and pay a tad more :

Thank you, both!

After reading both posts, I made a 6-way one with bits from damaged harnesses, and bought a 3-way one

Thanks again - Chris

I received a new 929 (you always should have a spare on hand) last night, and noticed some differences from my early model.

The helo and charger now have keyed shrouds over the DC connectors, so that the battery cannot be inserted reverse polarity.

Good thinking.

The transmitter looks a bit different, but I don't know whether it has changed from the original, as I use a 9XR, so can't compare.

I want to give one of the transmitters to my brother-in-law for his BNF 911, but want to keep the better one for myself for any emergencies

Anyone know whether the transmitters are different in any way?

Chris

Post a picture of them side by side so we can see the difference.
