Ye man, the real headache is flying the thing, every aspect, from climb-out to landing.
Obviously I have never actually flown the real thing (lol) but this is my favorite plane to fly in FS for years (2002, 2004, and now FSX); in fact I went all out and built a PC just for FSX and the SR-71.
The SR-71 in a nutshell: Coffin-corner anybody?
Canít see s***, you better know where your fuel panel is or your going down! CoG needs to be perfect. AoA over 10deg? Youíre dead... AoA under 5deg? dead! Bank too sharply? Compressor stall which causes a violent yaw in the direction of the stalled engine (which is usually outside) usually resulting in loss of control and overstress.
Left 5deg bank @ AoA 10.5 deg @ FL800? You would be dead before you would even know what happened.... I can go all day.
If you can truly fly this thing in FSX the right way without crashing then you can come over and fly my A-20.
