I was about to suggest the armin wing as well! If you do a search, you should also be able to find a few models made out of flat foam (DTF,FFF, MPF, EPP) with full airfoils. A 3D style wing is actually easier to make because it is usually symetric. I did a 48" sbach with a true airfoil and all I needed was a tip rib, a root rib, and middle spar to set the wing thickness. The rest of the wing was createed by folding over a wing panel (similar to the armin wing). If you do not feel comfortable with the folding over process, you can make a top panel, a bottom panel, and a leading edge block. -- look up RCG user "DemonGTI" - he did a great Edge 540... DemonGTI's 46" EDGE 540: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=767157 My 48" Sbach (project still in development - ): http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1529027Good luck!!! |
