I drove the kart this morning and the shim works fine. I can't tell a difference but the shim for what I know would allow you to change motors in a pinch. The wrap would take longer I would imagine.

Looks nice I was wondering why they routed the wires out the side instead of the rear cap. Nice feature.

A couple of weeks ago Robert told me he did the same thing. He drilled his but Full Pulls looks more stock as if it was made that way. I like the way the opening for the wires curves with the radius of the cap. It pays to have the big boy tools.

I read his post he used a mill to get that radius. I agree it does look slick the way he cut it out.

Well its not like you can't buy a motor cap from these guys if you mess it up. Its plastic it can't be much. I may go the drill route as you said Elfie. If I do it before you I'll post the drill size. Won't get around to doing much of anything till tomorrow afternoon anyways.

You have a valid point what could go wrong, Your drilling a small hole for wires. I'm thinking a vise and drill would do the trick.

I did it! Drilled right through the cap. It took little effort. Easy do for someone like me.
