Mark, that's a sharp Spitfire! I like that sporty color scheme. What prop is that?

Thanks. I should have mentioned that this is only a display model with an inappropriate and non-functioning propeller.

These little model helps me stretch my building skills while only risking a couple bucks worth of wood. And it gives me something to do on a snowy weekend like today.

The scheme is a close copy of the full scale plane which was built for a pre-war attempt at the world speed record.

Aeronca,
My Sony camera over saturates all images. Sony must think people like that, and I generally agree. The actual tissue isn't quite as vivid.

But the tissue is from the Peck Polymers tissue assortment. As you probably know, Peck Polymers got out of the model airplane business. At the rate I build, I probably have a lifetime supply.

AtomicFlyer check to see if your camera is on "flower" setting. Cameras these days tend to exaggerate colors on that setting.

36" Bungee version of Walthew A/2

I really ought to repaint that model box in background - only been 30 years since I had it flown over from UK!

Thanks. And it goes quite well.

Have not used it in any serious competition, but just mainly to wind it up and watch it fly.
FWIW for anybody wishing to build and fly one, I use a Senator 30 gram motor in it......6 strands of 1/4 or 8 strands of 3/16th.

Thanks to Applehoney for the plan a couple of years ago.

Couple years ago, out of fresh motors, I put in a 23 gram one - 10x 1/8. V/Wock loved it, a much longer motor run, good height ... better glide.
