I am just grimacing and giving you silent moral support.

(and thinking about how cheap 100-130 sounds for a NIB new-old stock Beast if I lawn dart mine)

2) What is the best way to center the CF rods that go from top to bottom ailerons?
So that the ailerons are centered. I noticed a slight difference in length on the rods.

Thanks for any input, you guys have been a big help so far! So far it hasn't been to bad.

Sorry I can,t help...did not get my Beast yet, delayed around one week. However I see your questions as high importance since sooner or later any of us could be doing the same replacement. Let's wait for the experience

Take care

Yup, I'm sure I'll be back more than once. But It all went well really, until this part. Just wanna get it right the first time. Nothing worse than realizing you glued something at the wrong time or the wrong way on this flimzy foam!

Anyone in the UK, I will be parting my UMX V1 Beast.
Its recently got the main wings changed but I crashed it since and the both wings were torn slightly. Its glued back on and works ok but I've got nowhere to fly it so its going to make space for other stuff.
Its got the standard motor and block it came with, I never messed with them, the prop is a 5x4.3 and I've bought a 3 blade 5x3 as spare I flew with it once but i think its too much for the motor and esc though. both props are balanced using my dubro balancer.
The turnigy 2s 260mah are good (recently checked them) and were always on storage charge when not used.

I still got some carbon fibre rods and one main wind support from the wing replacement package.

make me an offer for the lot.

They keep the servo action aligned and gives you more room for the up thro. You can replace them with most any double stick foam strip. Try to match the height. There was also a spot of hot glue in the middle to anchor to the wing.

I centered my servos by simply binding and shutting off. Then I gently clipped the ails centered as I very carefully CA'd the rods to the holders.

FYI -

There is no need to re-bind just to center the servos. Simply zero your tx trims, plug in the pack, and let the plane initialize. When the initialization process is complete, disconnect the pack. As long as you don't activate AS3X by advancing the throttle, the servos will be centered.
