Just pulled the 24" panels out of the bags. One layer of 2.1 and 4.3 oz glass with .007 unifiber carbon weblets. Still have to do tail feathers.

Need to do some trimming of excess glass and join the halves. Thinking of using the 4.3 oz glass and maybe some carbon weave 1 1/2 " or so.

Any thoughts?

Daniel

That looks like a PSS sloper with some very nicely done wing panels!
Just my first thoughts..

Thanks Hallo,

Am debating using balsa for tail feathers or composite glassed foam.

My typical preference for tail feathers, on a plane such as this, would be to use 1/4" balsa and shape it to a rough symmetrical airfoil. Then I bag with two layers of 1.5oz glass, or one layer 4oz and one layer of 1.5oz if I want strength and don't care too much about weight.
