I was looking to buy a Wemotec 70mm Ducated Fan unit for my F-117, but they have been out of stock everywhere for quite a while. I'm looking for recommendations for a 3s 70mm Ducted Fan. I have not found anything helpful on this topic using the search engine. Recommendations?

Just an idea: Why not buy them directly from the man at www.wemotec.com? That's where I bought 2 sets of 2 fans each from, including HET engines, all balanced by Mr. Wemotec himself.

The shipping charges make it come out to alot more than you would pay from a vendor.

The HET 6904 is a good alternative, aswell as the wm400 mk2.

If you are using 3S, a HET 2W motor is a good choice. Around 400-500 watts depending on batteries.

and I'm super happy with it.. silky smooth and has a nice sound

great performance! I'm running the 1112 1y neu motor on 4s 35c 4200
for 1300 watts

If you don't already have batteries, opt for 4S, The WM400/HET3W is a good economical system on 4S ~ 450 watts at 32 amps for less expensive ESC, longer flight times.

I've used the Wemo and HET's. Both are great fans. But, the new MF Pro impellers are very smooth and quite right out of the box. I think the power is a little less than the HET's. But, there's no balancing and they just sound so good.

As mentioned, on 3s the HET 2W or Mega 2T's are great motors.

The HET is dynamically balanced out of the box. No balance necessary.

If you want a little flexability in cell counts, any of the fans mentioned, and the ARC 28-47-1. 650-700W on a 3000 3s. Or 1200-1400W on a 4000 4s. Get a cool clamp for the 4s.

I've not been so happy with them, all 3 I have needed quite a bit of work to run smoothly.

I haven't bought an HET in awhile. I didn't know they came pre-balanced now. That's great.

The only problem I did have once with the HET was the collet adapter came loose on me. Luckily it was on a test run-up and not in-flight. In fact that was the HET fan I put a Wemo Pro rotor in. In my Hawk it is so quite and smooth.

All my HET's ran smooth out of the box.

Just beware of your motor purchase and the shaft size requirement of your fan choice.

I haven't seen any votes for the Lander/Fury metal housing fans? Are there any obvious performance negatives versus the Wemo, WM, HET units? I am running three of the 70mm Lander units (4-cell) and am quite satisfied but am I missing something (Also have some Wemo and Sapac units)? I do not look for Mach 2 performance in any of my models but might not have the optimum fan/motor combo.
