Just ordered a dozen of the AA Tenergy NiMH 2600mah cells. Does anybody have any comments on these particular cells? I've read good things about the 2300's but nothing yet on these cells. I'll post back here when I have an opinion of my own.

They seem to be as good as their 2300ma nimhs. I received them on 11/2 and gave them a 30 minute fast charge with no c/10 forming first charge. They've been sitting on the table since then, 11 days ago. Just measured the voltages...which range from 1.35 to 1.38 volts.

Just got my new MH-C9000 WizardOne charger so I can officially get some numbers for these cells now. Just put four of the Tenergy AA 2600 cells on it in 'break-in mode'. That's a 16 hour 0.1C charge, rest one hour, 0.2C discharge, rest one hour and then a 16 hour 0.1C charge. Will probably take near 2 days to complete. After that I'll cycle at normal rates a few times and then get some real numbers on usable capacity at a reasonable TX draw rate (300mah). Then I'll get some voltage values after different resting durations (1 day, 3 days, 1 week, etc.)

Are the Tenergy AAs industry standard diameter, which I believe is 13.5 to 14.5 mm (0.531 to 0.571 in)?

I checked 8 at random and the max. dia. point was 0.564" ,max. length 1.975".
I have several MiniMag Lites one of which many recharagebles will not fit in but all of my TENERGY 2300 fit without a problem.

After numerous cycles I'm getting right around 2300mAh +/-50 out of these cells at .2C discharge down to 1V. I keep forgetting to see how much capacity is lost over time but will remember to measure this eventually.

Ill let ya know - I have two dozen waiting in box on my stoop for me when I get home. The couple of reviews Ive read said that are great, but show really only 2500mah capacity - thats fine for me. It allows me to rid myself of my energizer 2500mah nightmare.

So TENERGY 2600s 12 cost $17 and th 2300s are only $20 for 24 plus a free charger.

This will come as a shock to many but the higher capacity serves no practical purpose in most applications and in fact often is more harmful than helpful.

I just picked up some 2000 mAh Tenergy cells and am getting ready to do some testing on them. I know, they are really labeled 2300 mAh, but that rating seems optimistic based on some early findings.

Overall, I have been very impressed with the consistent results from almost all of the 2000 - 2400 mAh cells, regardless of brand. It seems they got these cells right, then screwed things up by making the cells less robust with the high capacity cells. 2000 mAh seems to be the sweet spot right now.
