I don't see the test data on a Turnigy G10. What kind of info you need on it? Amps per manufacture or what it actually pulls with a prop? Just wondering cause I have one and can tell u what it pulls with a 11x7 prop. Thats about all I got on it though. : )

I can't figure out the weight there at your link.

And see the thrust, as long as you can use a prop that has more thrust than half of the weight of the plane (0.5:1 thrust to weight ratio) you should be OK.

Hi there, I have a built up Fly Baby, scratch built from RCM plans, and it weighs about 416g without battery, the battery weights 109g (a 1300 Mah 3 cell LIPO). The Motor is a Super Tigre 400 (max current 13A and max draw 18A) with a Super Tiger 20A ESC. What I need to know is which prop should I use for this airplane. The recommended range is a 9x3.5SF - 11x7SF, but I an not going to be flying 3D with this lovely slow and stately aircraft. Definately cannot use anything larger than 11 in as there may not even be enough clearance for an 11 when flying off of a grass field.

Any suggestions welcome.

That should be a 150 Watt continuous or so motor, I'd think a good prop for it would be the Great Planes PowerFlow slow fly props in 8 x 6 or 9 x 4.5. I'd mount that on the tapered cone style prop saver prop adapter if it can be used on your plane.

The GP slow fly props are not easy to find a a LHS, I find them on eBay though and at good prices. More info here on fitting the prop saver and also on the Thera-Band prop saver bands:

Similar sized GWS slow fly props would be OK too but they will not handle the power or RPM anywhere near as well as the Great Planes props do.

If you have any luck getting that data please feel free to add it to www.flybrushless.com. If you have a lot of data in excel form and don't want to input it manually then you can send it to me and I can import it in bulk for you. That's what I always do for Dr Kiwi's data.

I think you will find the 11" props are for 2s packs and the 9" props for 3s packs.
