Wing-Struts Suggestions Please
I am trying to keep a wing perpendicular to a skinny / narrow fuselage and I think that Wing-Struts might be the best way to go. Now I need suggestions for how to make Wing-Struts that are light weight and with a reasonably good aerodynamic shape. So far I have thought about using:
plastic venetian blind material,
thin plywood with rubber bands or elastic.
Looking for cheap building techniques, wing-strut stock, or ready made wing strut parts appropriate for a 48 inch blue fan fold foam wing.
Suggestions and experience would be welcome.

Balsa 1/8 x 5/8 inch will do the job and weigh very little.
Attach the struts to the foam in a way that is strong and so that the load is spread.and not concentrated at the attachment points.
In flight the struts are stressed in tension, if they are under the wing, and they will never break under flight loads.

A quick search on eBay gave many options for wing struts. K&S offers many sizes of aluminum streamline tubes that are great for wing struts.
Good luck, Mo
