FPV Aircraft help

Guys, I am looking to build myself a FPV airpalne. I currently have a Flamewheel 450 with Fatshark 5.8GHz for FPV flying but would like to get into fixed wing. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Cloud AXN or Bixler style are good starters. I fly the cloud AXN, Its small so fits in the car fully rigged and has space for a FPV pod between the canopy and Motor so you can move your FPV gear onto other planes or multis if you want. I even thermalled it FPV the other day. Planes are harder to fly FPV than multis as you cant just hover and look around to get your bearings. A GPS OSD with a pointer to home is useful. Ive only been FPVing a few months so am still learning heaps. Ive now added a 180 degree pan servo to my pod so I can look around quickly and that helps.

I cant say for the Bixler as dont have one. for the AXN I got the ARF from Hobby king that includes their motor, servos, even glue. The wings can be removed. Ive taped mine in but others have used velcro, magnets or rubber bands. See http://www.rcmodelreviews.com/ and http://beta.ivc.no/wiki/index.php/AXN_Clouds_Fly_Setup and http://beta.ivc.no/wiki/index.php/AXN_Clouds_Fly. I changed the ESC to one recommended by rcmodelreviews 30amp with a 3 amp BEC.

Hi Steven. Bixler wings are removable. Bixler will give you a little more space but the price is only slightly more than axn.
