PT-109 Crew

Can anyone help me locate a source for scale navy crew members for my 33" Dumas PT-109 I have seen some of the builds and they are crewed. So far google has come up with nothing.

Thanks!

I did find these http://www.amazon.com/Trumpeter-WWII.../dp/B004SKFFHG but I am not sure if the scale is correct? 1/35

Look for Trumpeter's 5606 PT-596 crew set, also 1:35.

But a 33" Dumas is ~1:29 scale, so the 1:35 figures will be a bit small-- about 85% of correct height. Give them platform shoes.

Fuggedaboutit. Get the Italeri PT Boat Crew instead. I think Pat meant Italeri.

If you wanted figures a bit bigger, perhaps the old 1:32 Airfix multi-pose U.S. Infantry to mix and match with a bit of modification, but they'll have the correct M1 helmets.

The Airfix multipose kits are the way to go. A little smallish for the Dumas kit, but usable. You can also find Ulrich Mini-men figure kits from slot car racing days on eBay. If you go for those, look for the blue/greenthe cardboard backer, these are 1/32 scale. The red ones are 1/25 scale.

My crew, and other details, where a mix of 1/32 and 1/35.

What kit was your PT built from CaptCB? Those crew members look like a good fit.

1:32 Airfix figures are noticeably bigger than Tamiya 1:35 if it's any consolation. I have the British Infantry set and the detail level is much better at that size.

Thanks to you also for making us brainstorm, Moonblink.

It was a 33'' Dumas (1/29th scale), but remember, in 1978, they tended to make things a bit oversize. CB
