Here it is! The long awaited 2013 PSS Festival sign ups are OPEN!

The "official" dates are Saturday May 25th and Sunday May 26th. Of course there will be the unofficial Fermin day on Thursday and the warm up day at Cajon on Friday. If you are coming up to Cajon on Friday I highly recommend you hit the Cajon Pass before 11am. Holiday traffic is a nightmare coming up the pass.

Entry Fee this year is $45. That includes one of our spectacular T-Shirts (Ralph is working on the design and we will preview it when it's ready).

BE ADVISED, There will be no food for sale at the hill. We have been told by the forest service that we cannot sell food, so bring your own food!

Please also note the Forest Service rules state that there is no camping on Baldy Mesa.

Here are Maps so everyone can review and figure out how to get up there. Be aware that the severe rains have damaged the roads. We will do our best to keep you appraised of the road conditions, and we are planning a road repair party as well.

Directions from Los Angeles, CA. area: Take the I-15 N to the top of Cajon pass,to Oak Hill rd off ramp. Turn left to go over the FWY to the other side. Turn right on Caliente for about 1/4 Mile. Turn left on Oak Hill to the bottom of the hill. Turn left on Jenny to the top of the hill. Turn left on Braceo for about 1 block. Turn right on White Haven for about one block. Turn Right on Landover for about one block, Turn right on Farmington for about one block. Turn Left on Rainbow (dirt road with only a single vertical post) get between the power poles for 500 feet and then turn left again between the other power poles (dirt road) that runs North-South and go south for 2 miles to concrete block house. There the road will fork, stay right on 3N24 to 3N21 and continue for one mile along the ridge (dirt road) of the summit to the flying site. This is a West wind canyon slope - Awesome place to fly, and have fun at the PSS slope festival slope.

1: Exit I-15 at Oak Hill Road (aprox: N34 21.736 W117 26.003). If approaching from the south (San Bernardino) take a LEFT at the top of the offramp and cross over the freeway. If approaching from the north (Victorville) take a RIGHT at the top of the offramp.
2: At N34 21.772 W117 26.059 turn RIGHT onto Caliente Rd and drive 0.6 miles.
3: At N34 22.133 W117 25.670 turn LEFT onto Oak Hill Rd. and drive 0.3 miles.

Are T-Shirts only for the flyer's?

Your welcome to sign up, even if you don't plan on flying, and will guarantee you a shirt and all the other entry rights. We try and have extra shirts (not many), available to sell, but it is not guaranteed at the slope.
Maybe TFLG will comment, as he is handling the shirt arrangements.

We are only ordering T-shirts for the event participants. We will order a few extras for "walk ups". If we have any T-shirts left we will sell them but I would not count on us having any leftovers.

It looks like we are already up to about 30 pilots as of today. That puts us 50% full so don't wait if you want to enter!

Thread clean-up (I deleted most of the "I signed up" posts). Trying to keep the thread event/information related. That way guys don't have to weed through 40 pages of fluff trying to find out something.

Jaracer,Evan and I will be on a recon of the road to the flying site this weekend in our buggies and will report on its condition in preparation for Slope fest.Last time there was a big wash out just before the site I'll let you all know. Ken long

That washed out in 2011 also, the rut was deep enough to lose a horse in. Took us hours to fill it in.
