What you apparently didnt realize is that america already has the best healthcare in the world, so yeah healthcare was around and will be after obammykare is overturned.

Only Obama truly knows that answer. To me, it is because he actually believes that the average citizen cannot make it on their own, and that it is correct and desired that the government control the citizens and provide for them in lieu of their (lack of) ability.
