I've been testing my Tiny2 OSD.....I'm impressed, only had a couple of flights with it..I like the Flight summary at the end, the GPS co-ords in case I lose it, & it finds the Sats in a minute...nice little unit....
forgot to mention the after sales service, unlike other gear, you actually talk with the "help me crew".....

Im thinking that way too actually, but I will give it a try first as I dont know how much power the wing will need to keep it up. It just happened to be a motor I had lying around. Im not planning on launching from flat ground, most likely a slope soarer type launch. It wouldnt be too difficult to uprate the motor anyway, if it needs it. Or I could mess with the battery paks connections and go for 6s instead of 3s.
BTW I have been considering a name for the thing.
The guy, Kev, who built the original wing, and donated it to me for reworking, was part of the Delta Concepts team that brought us the ASSASSIN delta combat wing kits . Kev told me it was inspired by the ASSASSIN, so I reckon
BIG ASS is as good a name as any..
Just a little more finishing off this weekend.

ommadawn if the motor isnt up to it have you considered a twin motor setup for the wing? On 3 cells you will be pulling big amps during launch with a single high powered motor. A twin motor setup can eliminate this plus the torque roll too. Also offers some redundancy but best of all they sound cool!!!

I originally considered building a twin, even bought a couple of motors, but decided KISS was easier. Besides its essentially a slope glider with a motor, not a full blown race wing. I intend launching without power, off a slope into a stiff breeze, how God intended for man to fly.... I have access to lots of bigger motors. My mates are keen to loan me whatever it needs from their piles of unused project motors we all seem to accumulate over the years..
