Iron Man range problem?

Does this thing have a range problem?
There's just enough hesitation from control inputs
to cause a crash every flight.
After crashing the motors will run for a bit with the
power off and you have to shut off the TX.
This might not be too bad if the airplane wasnt so small and unstable.
I wonder if there's a thread on this?

Hmm.

This the 1st time that I've heard of a "range issue" with any of the ITC F-18 / F-15 planes.

I have a few of each plane, in both 27/49 Mhz , they all have great ranges so far.

However , It's been Way too Cold & Windy for me to fly outside this winter.
For some reason the wind seems to pickup just before I'm done work.

I'll need to find the right conditions to conduct some tests.

First, a few questions.

Are you using alkalines in your Tx?

What temps are you trying to fly in??

How long is the plane/Tx in the cold before flying???

Are you charging it when it's warm or cold?

Thanks ,
Wolf

ya, these planes have bulletproof reception with no lag at all.

It has to be a cold weather issue.

What temps are you trying to fly in?? -5 C

How long is the plane/Tx in the cold before flying??? none

Are you charging it when it's warm or cold? warm

Mine is 27 hz

My son had on of these last summer that had a bit of lag
but nothing like I have.
It must be the cold--I wonder what the electronic cause is
BTW, I had 2 Silverlit UBI's fly away on full throttle lockup in the cold
????????
I have lots of Tyco Skyforce stuff that has no such problem.
