BeastX clone set up with Flysky FSTH9-X
If you're going to set up any of the BeastX clones with the Flysky FSTH9-x here's something to be aware of.
All of the instructions state that you have to eliminate any mixing for the tail or swashplate before set up.
If you're using the Flysky ( and I imagine the Turnigy 9x as well as other versions of this tx) you have to program in 50% revo mix, contrary to the instructions.
My helicopters with the clone BeastX ( different makes) would show full rudder movement in static tests, but once airborne would piro nose left very slowly and with jerking movements. Nose right was fine.
I tried every setting imaginable for weeks and even made longer arms for the pitch slider, thinking that maybe the geometry was the problem.
When flying in bright sunshine the other day I noticed that when I input full right rudder the slider wasn't moving past the center point. That's when the light bulb finally lit up.
Programmed in the 50% revo and redid the set up and it's perfect.
Maybe this fact is common knowledge, but if not maybe I'll save someone else from the headaches I had.
